DGL's King Island Holiday Photos

26-31 Dec 1997

King Island is in Bass Strait (at the west end) between Victoria and Tasmaina.   It is well known for it's beef and dairy products, but also has a significant fishing industry.   It has a population of approximately 2000, and it's safe enough to leave your care unlocked.   There is an abundance of native Autralian animals: wallabies which can be see by the side of the road in the evening and at night, and possums which tend to be seen on the roads at night.   Sadly these wallabies and possums are also seen scattered all over the roads each morning.
