The old Impreza was almost 20 years old - still going strong, but the bonnet had paint flaking off and the exposed areas were rusting;
the windscreen had a lot of micro-abrasion, making it difficult to see at night; plus the sun-visor just wouldn't stay in place.
So, I needed a new car... Of course, it needed to be a Subaru, and it had to be manual, but most new Subarus only come with boring CVT - except the BRZ and WRX - so there wasn't much choice
